Character is not built without suffering and perseverance. 

Character is not forged in the easy times. 

When we arrive at obstacles and decide to overcome them at all costs, our spirits change. 

Our will develops and strengthens. Our internal power is cultivated. 

We must welcome troubling times with open arms, knowing that this is our opportunity to rise to the occasion. 

Easier said than done, I know. 

But realize that we’re given an opportunity to become who we are intended to become when we are presented with adversity.
