“Every man should lose a battle in his youth, so he does not lose a war when he is old.”
George R.R. Martin
Adversity is life’s great teacher.
Experiencing failure, setbacks and suffering are crucial to character development.
You cannot have one without the other.
You cannot become an exceptional person without experiencing exceptional circumstances.
We learn way more from losing than we could ever learn from winning.
Dealing with adversity early in life will plant the seeds of a resilient character.
This is a good thing.
We must all learn to lose.
For that is the only way that we can become strong enough to eventually win.
